Privacy
Short version: no cookies, and a simple, privacy-friendly visit counter.
- Visit counts. We use GoatCounter to count page views. It sets no cookies and doesn’t track you across sites. It records things like the page visited, the referring site, browser type, screen size and country, but not who you are.
- Visitor counter. The counter in the footer shows GoatCounter’s public visitor count for the page you’re on (or, if that page has no count yet, the total across ReallyByte sites). It is fetched from GoatCounter, may be a few hours behind, and hides itself if it can’t load.
- Mars passport. Your weight, birthday and name are worked out in your own browser and never sent anywhere or saved.
- No adverts, no tracking pixels, no fonts from elsewhere. Apart from GoatCounter (its script and the visitor count), everything loads from this site.
- Game scores are kept only in your own browser (localStorage) and never sent anywhere. Clear your browser storage to remove them.
- Our host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.
- Affiliate links. Some links go to Amazon UK with our associate tag. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. If you click one, Amazon may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. We don’t see who you are or what you buy, only aggregate commission reports.
